Recently, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a memorable photo of Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni at a farm. In the image, Jadeja is seen taking a selfie with Dhoni in the background. CSK captioned the post, “Imagine Thala & Thalapathy in this field together! #WhistlePodu #WhatIf @imjadeja @msdhoni” alongside the picture.
The original photo, posted by Jadeja earlier this month on Instagram, was captioned “Homeland” and features a snapshot from his farm.
MS Dhoni has led CSK to ten IPL finals in their first 14 seasons, securing five titles in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021, and 2023. He has played in every IPL season for CSK except for two years when the franchise was suspended.
While both Dhoni and CSK have been tight-lipped about his future in the IPL, it is clear that the former India captain, now 43, still has a few seasons left in him.
On the other hand, Jadeja has withdrawn from the upcoming Duleep Trophy edition, where he was slated to be part of Team ‘B’.
